July 31, 2003 - elgato writes "Kev's Speedo from the Backstreet Boys forum at LiveDaily.com saw Kevin in Pittsburgh this past weekend for 'Chicago.' Of his performance she says, "He was fabulous again, as always... It was so funny, all these old women were drooling over him during the intermission, LMAO... I heard a lot of the older folks talking about how impressive he was. I just get prouder and prouder of him. He never stops amazing me." After the show, she met him on his way out of the stage door. She says, "While he was signing my picture, I complimented him on being the best Billy Flynn ever. He laughed and said he wasn't sure if that was true. He's so modest. I told him I thought he was and he thanked me. I asked him if he was still planning on a solo album, and he said that it's not out of the question. He just has to see what's going to be happening with him in the near future first. He also said that there would be a BSB album next year... This next part just floors me. Right after we took the pic, I kind of squeezed his side. He turned himself around so he could give me a real hug. How sweet is that!... So Kev the man comes through for me again. All I have to say is you LA and London people have no idea what's in store for you." Read more."

July 31, 2003 - elgato writes "Check out this great video from daboneyard which shows Johnny No Name (AJ McLean of the Backstreet Boys whose nickname happens to be ‘Bone’) covering the song ‘Bad to the Bone.’ He sings it almost better than the original. During the performance, he plays guitar, takes his shirt off, plays to the crowd, and then smashes the guitar. He also tweaks the chorus, saying “I’m here to tell you, New York, that AJ’s bad to the bone…” This is likely what you will see and hear on AJ’s upcoming solo album: rock and the blues. Download the 5 minute and 2 seconds video, called jnnConcert.ram, from BackstreetDirt."

July 30, 2003 - elgato writes "According to Nickolas-Carter.com, Nick Carter's management revealed the timetable for the Backstreet Boys star's next solo venture. His first single off of his second solo album will be released in December of this year, followed by the album in January of 2004. Nick's management stated that Nick will be coming to Europe to promote. And a tour will start in March. You can weigh in on the survey here."

July 30, 2003 - elgato writes "Two Backstreet Boys fans from the Mature Fan Club, Alice and Pam, attended the Pittsburgh performances of 'Chicago,' supporting Kevin Richardson. Alice reviewed the show saying, "Kevin looked very comfortable as Billy Flynn. One would never know he hadn't played this role since March. It's as though he's been at it for a very long time. He did not look nervous either... the role is perfect for him... and in all fairness to ALL the actors who've played Billy Flynn...the role is NOT a stretch either. However, it takes a gifted actor to make it more than it's written to be. Kevin has a gift and he looks very comfortable on stage and it's a good direction for him. I'd like to see AJ doing Phantom and hope their new mangement takes him in that direction as well. All the actors were terrific and am looking forward to seeing the movie. OF COURSE, guess who got the loudest applause." Pam also weighed in, saying "We got to meet Kevin after the show, got an autograph and my picture taken with him. I've never met any of the BSB before and Kevin's my favorite so it was especially wonderful. OMG, the show was fabulous, Kevin was fabulous. I liked it so much that as soon as I got home I bought another ticket for myself for tomorrow's performance at 1pm. Can't really afford to do that but when am I going to get another opportunity like this?""

In the video, Johnny performs Brian McKnight's 'Back to One' and Tonic's 'When She Says She Loves Me.' VH1 representatives come in to personally thank the Backstreet Boys star for what he has done, helping them giving over $250,000 to public school music programs and putting up over $1 million of his own money. Johnny No Name also sits down to talk about diabetes with two victims. Howie Dorough also weighs in. The background music for the 4 minute, 7 seconds video consists of unheard of parts of the song 'Happy,' written and produced by AJ. That was hilarious! We’re standing in the elevator with cases upon cases of beer. This unassuming blond guy comes into the elevator and his bodyguard buddy starts talking to me with the 'How’s your vacation' and all of that when I realized who the guy was. I’m like, 'Holy sh** you’re the guy from *NSYNC!' It was the only band I could come up with, but man; it was like the needle dragging across the record. The elevator was silent for what felt like ages and then the guy’s like, 'No, I’m in the OTHER band.' Well, I had a 50/50 chance on that one… I picked the wrong 50." Read more.

She says, "The party Nick performed at was insane! It was like the 'Steel Dragon Tribute' concert from the movie 'Rockstar'. You had to go down this LONG...DARK road - where for blocks and blocks - you'd see nothing but cars parked on the side of the road. You'd think the entire city of Sarasota was there. The band was playing was an 80's rock 'hair band' cover band. Nick performed an Alice In Chains song and a Journey song (fast). HE ROCKED OUT! The crowd was all metal heads and we didn't think they would welcome him. I wouldn't say they were thrilled at first... but after 30 seconds into the first song I had guys around me yelling 'He fu**in' rocks!' The crowd was loving it! He flashed the crowd his nipples. (I ask you again - what has happened to MY modest boy?!?). He played drums on a song and when he said good-bye the crowd was going insane. They loved him. There were barely any fans there - all metal heads.""

Then this morning they ran before the race, and it went great." Read more.

July 7, 2003 - Scott Feschuk of the National Post joked about recent news from the Backstreet Boys camp. The police described it as a 'very simple fender bender.' Still, that means McLean and Littrell have now both had a bigger hit than Nick Carter." He continued, "By the way, four of the five Backstreet Boys are at work on solo albums. In keeping with biblical prophecy, the albums will be entitled War, Famine, Pestilence and Death. Watch for the ensuing tour, coming to an Apocalypse near you." He wrapped up the attack joking, "Four solo albums? There's a nice harmony to that. July 4, 2003 - elgato writes "Nick Carter has been in Toronto for awhile now recording with Tommy Lee. They're laying low and avoiding the press. So, fans weren't aware they were in town and were surprised to see them popping up here and there throughout the city. One fan, Afrospuff from the Backstreet Boys forum at LiveDaily.com, saw Nick at a Snow concert. She was at the Downsview Park for a Snow concert. She says, "I couldn't believe it when Snow said Nick was his special guest and I thought it was so cute when he sang with him and he knew all the words to Snow's song. Nick sounded so good too! And his Canada shirt (for Canada day) was so cute too!" I remember reading a review of Nick's concert in Toronto awhile back where he said that Snow might actually be on his new album. Now it looks like that's going to happen. You may remember Snow as the white reggae/rapper who had the song 'Informer,' which sounded like Popeye on speed. So apparently Tommy Lee and Snow are layin' down tracks with Nick while he's in Toronto. Nick's second solo album comes out this fall."

Lexington police describe damage to all three vehicles as minor. A Backstreet fan from the Mature Fan Club added, "I just got word that Brian, Leighanne, Jackie, Baylee and AJ were all in the car. AJ banged up his knee a little because he was in the front seat. Everyone else is ok. I specifically asked about Leighanne and Baylee and they are just fine." And AJ appeared from behind the curtain! He looks GREAT!" A fan then read a letter to Brian and AJ about how the Backstreet Boys have changed her life for the better. It brought everyone their to tears, even Brian and AJ. The two joked around and made fun of Nick Carter's singing on 'I Want it That Way' and Kevin Richardson's eyebrows. A fan asked about the "situation" with Jive and Brian said, "Well I guess I'll tackle that one. Well... we were going to record as a group but with Nick going solo, it put a damper on our plans. Jive had their agenda with Nick and Jive had their agenda with us and it didn't work. The Backstreet Boys are all 5 of us... and when the time is right... we'll come back. But hearing your comments about how we've touched you all... it makes me want to take a flight out of here right now and go start recording." " Read on for more."

July 1, 2003 - elgato writes "Brian Littrell of the Backstreet Boys just had his 'Golfing With Brian 2003' event for his charity the Healthy Heart Club. Fans who attended got a surprise because AJ McLean was a special guest. Nick_Is_Sexy from the Backstreet Boys forum at LiveDaily.com documented her experiences at the event. When asked about a possible solo album, AJ jokingly said, "Jive let Nick do it. Now it's my turn." He confirmed that it would be rock and as Johnny No Name. He also talked about wanting to collaborate with Eminem, and he said his solo album will definately be for ages 18+ so they'll release a censored version and an uncensored version. Brian played a demo from his solo album. By request, Brian and AJ sang 'I'll Never Break Your Heart' a capella. Brian talked a lot about Baylee and fatherhood. AJ talked about his sobriety, early slip-ups, and how he's fine now. They confirmed that they're still having problems with Jive and probably won't be dropping the lawsuit, so it'll be at least a year but 2 years at the max before a new group album comes out. Fans who saw Nick Carter on the 'Now or Never' tour can recall Nick performing a medley of his song 'Do I Have to Cry for You' and Bryan Adams' 'Everything I Do.' Hardcore fans can even recall Nick siting Bryan Adams as one of his influences in pretty much every interview he did prior to the release of 'Now or Never'."

He writes, "WOW! I'm impressed! So many haters that spent so much time on me over there [on Blabbermouth.net]. Thanks guys! WOW!! I'm gonna cry! Thank you all!! Tfu**inLee."
