interview about the BRATZ dolls, for whom he and Japanese artist BoA did
a song and video. Howie said his purpose for doing the BoA/BRATZ collaboration
was to get his name out their and promote the product at the same time.
Also in the interview, Howie talked about his upcoming solo album. He said
it has a Latin vibe, and he's looking forward to letting people get to
see him as an individual. And he updated on the status of the Backstreet
Boys. He mentioned how he just met up with AJ McLean and Nick Carter in
Orlando, Florida to shoot a Popstars episode. He said they discussed a
time frame for the new group album that would give each of them ample time
to complete their solo projects. Next year, they'll "get the ball rolling."
He concluded by thanking the fans and saying that BSB "had an absolutely
great decade together and look forward to many, many more years of coming
up with new music. Watch the interview here."

were featured guests on the German reality TV show Popstars. During the
various segments, several contestants were interviewed and professed their
love for BSB, especially AJ. AJ was asked what he thought about the whole
music contestant show idea. He basically said that they definately have
a chance, as long as they're having fun; all the contestants beat thousands
of kids to make the final 16, so it's a big deal. Later, the Boys sat down
with the contestants giving them advice and signing autographs. AJ said
the experience was "cool" and "fun." Download this video (labeled as 8.03popstars2.wmv)

we decided to wait by the stage door as there weren't many people there.
Eventually he came out and took pics with everyone that was there which
I thought was really sweet. The stage door was opposite a bar so people
were coming out to get pics and autos lol!! I maged to speak to him again
and thanked him for taking the time to sign before the show. He asked if
I enjoyed it. I just said 'stupid question!!' and he grinned! Then he got

first people to arrive was Nick Carter, and I was the only one that noticed
him at first, so I started screaming for him, then everybody else starts
screaming. He kept turning around and like giving piece signs and blowing
kisses to the crowd. It was crazy I had definitely got his attention cause
when he would turn around he'd look towards my way right. Well after screaming
for what seems to be forever, we finally had stop cause he was doing interviews
with everybody, so I figured he wasn't gonna come to us cause he didnt
take pictures with us at JoJos in-studio. So like 45 mins later... he runs

writes "In the latest issue of InRock Magazine, Backstreet Boys star Howie
Dorough answered some questions about the group and their solo projects.
He said, AJ is "fine and sober. I'm very proud of him." AJ and Nick Carter
met Howie in Orlando recently to celebrate his birthday. They discussed
ideas for the next group album. Howie's album is meant to fill the void
until the next group album comes out; he expects his album to come out
this year. He also said some of the other Backstreet Boys may appear on
each other's respective solo albums. For example, while in Orlando, Nick
added some stuff to one of Howie's songs. AJ did too. So there's a good
chance they'll appear on each other's albums. When asked about how much
longer the group will remain a group, Howie responded by saying that they
decided to take a break to do solo things but they'll work together from
now on, and rest will be an asset to the group in the long run. Read more."

According to Entertainment Tonight, "At around 9 p.m., Michael appeared
to the delight of his guests, which included additional radio listeners
courtesy of KIIS-FM. After the pop icon spoke about his commitment to children's
charities, things reportedly got silly. Brothers Nick and Aaron joined
Michael onstage and presented him with a birthday cake (he turned 45 in
August), which he purportedly threw into Aaron's face, starting a food
fight. Shortly after, he was rushed from the stage by security." On Monday's

play drums on the album. Nick also said the album will be jam-packed with
the likes of Rodney and Fred Jerkins, Teddy Riley of Blackstreet, and possibly

Award from StarShrine Magazine. He also did a short interview for them.
The Backstreet Boys star said his new album will be toned down a little,
while 'Now or Never' was full of experimenting. Nick said that most artists
experiment behind the scenes and he just experimented in front of everyone.
He also talked about how he and Tommy Lee have been doing lots of writing
and whatnot. The StarShrine rep asked him about his piercings. He said
he got both nipples pierced. She asked him for pictures and he said that
fans will get them soon enough. For the award, Nick thanked his fans for
supporting him through these tough times (this is probably a reference

Brian is looking to put his solo album out on a Christian label and not
on Jive Records, the label his group has had trouble with. Jordan Kellar,
Brian's lawyer, said, "He grew up singing in churches, at weddings and
funerals. This is where his true musical love is. Brian always has expressed
a spirituality in Backstreet Boys' album liner notes and through other
venues, so this will be no surprise to many fans." Provident Music Group

the unfortunately-titled 'SoulO', is nowhere near as embarrassing as Nick

Today, fans got word that Nick (along with Aaron) headed up to Toronto
for Hilary Duff's birthday party. That's probably not the reason he cut
his hair. Nick and Aaron will shoot the video for 'She Wants Me' while
in Toronto. THAT is probably why he cut his hair. Anyway, fans who've spotted
