writes "To promote the upcoming Atlanta Hawks NBA Celebrity Basketball
game, Brian Littrell from the Backstreet Boys called into Atlanta radio
station Q100 to talk about the game, parenting, Michael Jackson, solo stuff,
the Backstreet Boys, and more. On parenting, Brian said, "It's a blessing.
You never know what kind of person you are until you're a parent." His
son Bailey is now 11 months old. The DJ asked Brian about "What More Can
I Give." Brian had no clue what he was talking about. Apparently, a news
story is saying the Backstreet Boys are on the track when in reality it's
just Nick. On Michael Jackson,
Brian said "the guy is a little weird." A fan phoned in and asked about
AJ, saying he was "the hottest guy ever." Brian told her AJ is doing very
well. He's in Orlando right now for his mom's wedding. And he gave Q100
an exclusive about the Backstreet Boys aiming to get back in the studio
in January to finish their record. In addition to Brian, others playing
in the game include Backstreet Boys star Nick Carter, Ruben Studdard, Bill
Bellamy, Dean Cain, Coolio, Frankie Munez, and more. Download the 8-minute
interview from BackstreetDirt."

BSBLatino.com, "Nick will be presenting a prize in the 'Radio Music Awards'
that will be celebrated Monday the 27th from Las Vegas and will be retransmitted
in direct by NBC. Besides presenting one of the prizes of the night, Nick
will take advantage of his stay in the city to grant some interviews to
the radio stations. Besides that, we can conclude that he continues recording
in Los Angeles (in spite of the stops to attend commitments professional
and personal) and that the next stops will be Europe and later New York.""

writes "Last week, Backstreet Boys star Nick Carter, reggae artist Snow,
and MTV's Boogie (co-host of the Wade Robson Project) all attended an MTV
Party in Columbus, Ohio that was sponsored by Von Dutch clothing. Nick
and Snow both performed. While holding a beer in his hand, Nick sang Outkast's
'Hey Ya' among other songs. A fan videotaped these performances. Though
the audio is of low quality, the video footage is not. So you can download
2 videos of Nick from that night's performances at BackstreetDirt."

writes "Yesterday before the Radio Music Awards Nick Carter recorded an
interview with JoJo (KIIS FM). He talked about a small cameo he'll be taping
in two days in Canada for a new spooky funny movie with Carmen Electra.
And then he'll have a meeting with the director of the original version
of 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre' and 'Jeepers Creepers 2' about a horror
movie he's casted in that will start production in January. He also mentions
the Backstreet Boys and his new album. You can download and listen to the
interview at not-like-you.com."

writes "Backstreet Boys star Kevin Richardson did an interview with People.com
recently and discussed 'Chicago,' American versus British audiences, his
Kentucky music school, fans who strip for him, and the Backstreet Boys.
On the group, Kevin said, "We would love to record another record. We owe
it to ourselves and our fans. We've never done a Christmas album yet, which
is something we'd love to do. But we want to do another original LP. Right
now it's just that Brian (Littrell)... and his wife are enjoying being
parents, Nick (Carter)'s putting a record together, Howie (Dorough)'s gonna
do a Latin record, Brian may do a gospel record. But we've all enjoyed
a lot of success together. We've been in each other's faces for 11 years
now." The Christmas he hinted at is probably directed at next Christmas
and not this one, seeing as how they're all doing their solo albums this
year. Read more."

writes "Tonight, JoJo (DJ for Los Angeles' KIIS-FM 102.7) is interviewing
tons of celebrities who are participating in the Radio Music Awards which
airs Monday the 27th on NBC. One of the people I heard JoJo talk to on
the air was Howie Dorough of the Backstreet Boys. JoJo said that during
the Radio Music Awards, he and Nick Carter would be doing a special presentation,
probably a tribute to Michael Jackson, in which the video for 'What More
Can I Give' will be played during the show. JoJo was asking Howie to give
him some dirt on Nick to try to embarrass him during the show. Howie brought
up Nick's smelly feet. Then JoJo asked Howie about the status of Backstreet
Boys. He said the he's been hanging out with Nick all weekend and talked
to all the guys this past week, includihng Kevin who's all the way in London.
Howie said that all the guys are ready to end the hiatus and get back in
the studio. The five of them discussed the time frame for 2004. They're
not sure if they're going to release the solo albums first and then the
group album or the group album and then the solo albums. The break was
especially beneficial to Brian. JoJo agreed. Howie said it would have been
horrible for Brian to be touring during the first year of his child's life.
So he's glad Brian got to enjoy that at home. JoJo also interviewed Michelle
Branch, Staci Orrico, Joey McIntyre, Loon, and more. All of these people
and more will be appearing at the Radio Music Awards, which airs on Monday,
October 27th on NBC at 9/8pm."

Dorough at the Latin Awards recently. She says, "I just hugged him and
took the picture (he rubbed my back) and I was like aww sweet! lol ...oh
yeah and my friend asked him when they were coming out with their album
he said next year and I asked what about your solo album, he said he's
still working on it. When I took a picture he was with 2 girls, and when
I saw him inside he was with just one of the girls, they didn't look like
a couple though. I sat right behind him and when he turned around I said
hi again and he's like hey! .... I kept seeing him but he looked bored
throughout the whole show. He left early. Oh, and he didn't present he
just watched. Yeah he is way better lookin in person, he winks a lot, lol.
He was very nice except I didnt think he would be short he was a tad bit
shorter than me and I'm like 5'8-5'9 or maybe he was about the same as
me I don't remember.""
October 22, 2003 - Rick Anderson
of the Toronto Star writes: "What ever happened to boy bands? You know,
the Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC, 98 Degrees, O-Town, 5ive and any other group
of four or five doe-eyed cuties with smooth moves, great haircuts and the
ability to break hearts with just a smile or an eye twinkle. Suddenly they're
obsolete, swept aside by highly sexualized rebellious hip-hop and R&B
rappers who rob their preteen fans of their innocence. I'm not ashamed
to yearn for the resurrection of boy bands, even if my 23-year-old heart
is older and wiser than it was five years ago when I attended my first
Backstreet Boys concert." Read more.

Times reports that while other indie bands eagerly name drop 'serious'
bands like the Beta Band, Black Flag or even Blur as influences, Travis
frontman Fran Healy openly declares his love for boybands and even Britney
Spears. He said: "The Backstreet Boys are great. Hands up. I love them.
There's this guy called Max Martin who just sits and bangs out these absolutely
amazing songs for Britney Spears and the Backstreet Boys. You know that
song, 'I Want It That Way'? I love that one. They just sing it, splash
it out the way it should be sung. There's no ego involved." Read more.

in Orlando, Florida recently to be on the TV show Popstars. According to

'better than the original' -lol. NO WAY, but they were COOOOOL!" AJ looked
"much better and healthier and beautiful". After the taping Nick sat with
the POPStar group during lunch. The Boys then gave an interview - AJ did
most of the talking. They signed autographs. Nick said "that the next [group]
album was gonna be REALLY good. They are gonna do the best album yet because

Boys forum at LiveDaily.com, later that night Howie invited all the Popstars

They said his birthday was next week and he said 'yeah' and they asked
