March 25, 2004 - Anonymous writes "On Sunday I saw Paris Hilton and Backstreet Boys star Nick Carter at the International Mall in Tampa, Florida. She apparently is in Tampa because she was admitted to St. Joe's hospital after a horse kicked her off of him. Well, when she arrived to the mall, almost every store kicked all of the customers out of them so that the two would be able to shop in peace. I was only there because I was picking up food at a restaurant called 'California Pizza Kitchen'. I didn't actually get to meet her, but I did pass her as she walked out of Nordstroms. She didnt seem too happy because there were A LOT of people around her. Also, my friend works at store called Forever XXI, and apparently she walked in and bought $500 worth of clothes. Oh, and Nick and Paris were holding hands and giggling. It was cute."

March 22, 2004 - Moby posted on his official website's journal on Thursday (March 18): "There's a goth band from finland called 'HIM', and they do a version of a Backstreet Boys song that is very dark and ominous. Is it called 'Larger Than Life'? Well, DJ Mr. Bill wrote that the Backstreet Boys are reforming (did they even break up? can you have a 'reunion' album and tour when you haven't, in fact, broken up? can you have breakup sex if you haven't broken up?), and it reminded me of this great version of the Backstreet Boys song by 'HIM'. And will the Backstreet Boys now be the Backstreet Men? Or will they reinvent themselves name-wise a la NKOTB or J.Lo or P. Diddy or Tafkap or Athletico Spizz 80 or etc?" Read more.

March 17, 2004 - Despite the fact that it kills thousands of parents and grandparents every year, colon cancer is one of the most detectable, and if found early enough, most treatable forms of cancer. That is why Kevin Richardson of the Backstreet Boys, who lost his own father to colon cancer, has teamed up with the Colon Cancer Alliance (CCA) and Genentech to launch "It's Time To Talk About CRC" -- a campaign designed to increase dialogue about colon cancer and educate those at risk about treatment and prevention. "Many people, especially those in our parents' generation, are too embarrassed to discuss colon cancer because it involves parts of the body that are uncomfortable to talk about," said Richardson. "My father did not know the importance of talking about the disease or getting screened for it; he was only 49 when it took his life. I am hoping that this program can help prevent others from going through the pain that I went through." Read more.

Despite Salomon's $10 million libel lawsuit against the Hilton family — who trashed him when the homemade sex tape first hit the Internet — legal experts consulted by The Post say it's doubtful Salomon could market the video (at $50 per download) without Paris' consent, making it possible she's getting a piece of the profits.
