May 31, 2004 - 944 magazine caught up with former Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee and asked the rocker, famous for his porno tape with Pamela Anderson, if he had ever dated another unintended porn star - Paris Hilton. "My friend Nick Carter [of the Backstreet Boys] is dating her at the moment," Lee said. "He is about to record a solo record. He asked me to work with him and being the closet rock fan that he is, I decided to loan him a heavy hip-hop ballad I had written. Now I heard he may work with the Backstreet Boys again so I may have to ask for that song back for my own recording." Read more.

It was written by Howie Dorough and Wade Robson. The song was arranged by the a capella Gospel group Take Six. May 28, 2004 - elghato writes "The Backstreet Boys were guest hosts of Zootopia, the annual summer concert for New York radio station Z100. I have several video files of the group discussing the album, introducing artists like Avril Lavigne, and thanking the audience. When introducing Avril, Nick Carter playfully asked the audience if they like skater boys. Howie Dorough said they were 3/4 done with the album and it'd be out in August/September. Kevin Richardson talked about the song they were going to perform, which was written by Howie Dorough and Wade Robson. He also thanked the fans for all their support. Among the interviewed were teen queen Hilary Duff and her older sister Haylie Duff, pop sensation Jessica Simpson and her sister Ashlee Simpson, and Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter and his younger brother Aaron Carter. May 24, 2004 - The Herald Sun reports that Paris Hilton and her sister Nicky Hilton, who arrived from the Gold Coast Saturday night, were due to head straight to the back bar of Darren Thornbergh's Boutique Nightclub in Prahran. There, they were expected to join hand-picked guests including Paris' brief fling Rob Mills of 'Australian Idol' fame, Kylie Minogue, and Delta Goodrem. Last week it was understood Paris would come to Melbourne with her boyfriend, Backstreets star Boy Nick Carter. But apparently the long-distance lovers have had another tiff -- and Nicky agreed to fly from New York to accompany her sister. May 17, 2004 - Anonymous writes "The Backstreet Boys were suprise in-studio guests Friday night at JoJo's KIIS FM radio show. They talked a lot about the new album and about each of them separately. The guys played a new song for the fans in the studio, according to Brian Littrell, it sounds like 'I Want It That Way' on steroids. They also said that they'll be performing some new stuff today at the Wango Tango, where they'll be guest hosts. The Boys also took the time to call a fan that was at the hospital after a serious car crash, hospital crew didn't let the call through to the fan, but her mom took her cell to the girl regardless the rules. May 9, 2004 - With Paris Hilton wearing a huge rock on her ring finger, some are wondering if she and Backstreet Boys star Nick Carter are engaged. But Paris' rep. Gina Hoffman told In Touch Weekly: "It's just a fad where everyone's wearing a ring on their left hand. She and Nick are not engaged, but they're doing well."

May 2, 2004 - elghato writes "This morning, Kevin Richardson of the Backstreet Boys appeared on the Kidd Kraddick radio show. He said that the group has 15 tracks finished. They plan to record 25 and then choose the songs that'll make the album from that group. Kevin said he's closest to AJ McLean and Howie Dorough, since they all live Los Angeles, but he's getting closer to Nick Carter since he's been hanging out in L.A. with Paris Hilton a lot lately. On Monday, the group will head to New York to do some more recording. He wrapped it up by suggesting everyone give their mothers a colonoscopy for Mother's Day (Kevin's been doing a lot of work to promote colon cancer awareness).
