June 1, 2007 - Nick Carter was officially appointed a "special ambassador of the Year of the Dolphin" on Thursday (May 17) by the United Nations Environment Program Convention on Migratory Species. The Backstreet Boys star explained that he grew up in Florida and "from a very young age enjoyed the ocean and all its wonderful creatures... It saddens me deeply to learn that something that gives me such pleasure is in danger." Read more.

April 23, 2007 - Amplifier magazine caught up with former M2M star Marion Raven in a Q&A, asking the singer what was the first concert she attended. "My first boyfriend at 14 took me to a Backstreet Boys concert," she said. "I dumped him right after that." So obviously not a boy band fan, Raven was asked who would be in her ultimate three-band, live performance lineup, dead or alive. March 11, 2007 - Backstreet Boys manager Johnny Wright checked in with fans on the boy band's official web site early Thursday with an update on their activities. "Hey BSB Fans! We have recently received many messages from concerned fans wanting to know what the guys have been up to," he writes. "We wanted to fill everyone in on the latest. The guys are finishing up their next studio album and have started to talk about touring plans, but have not confirmed anything yet. All the BSB fans will be the first to know as soon as dates are announced, so stay tuned for more updates later on. They are very excited about releasing new material and really feel like they have come together with their sound on this album. All the guys have been writing and traveling a great deal to inspire a perfect blend of new music. So all you loyal BSB fans that have been concerned, please know that the guys are hard at work, very excited about the project and can't wait to share it with all of you who have been patiently anticipating new BSB stuff! February 11, 2007 - The Backstreet Boys have been having fun in the Nashville area while making their fifth album. They have hung out at the Tin Roof, and they even went to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers last week.
