27, 2002 - Orlando Bloom and Kate Beckinsale are to feature in new ads
for clothing giants Gap. Three new TV ads have been directed by Cameron
Crowe, the eccentric Coen Brothers and Roman Coppola. Bloom and Beckinsale
feature in Crowe's ad as a couple being chased by a group of admirers while
out for a stroll.

Bloom is nominated for 'Breakthrough Male' (The Lord of the Rings: The
Fellowship of the Ring) in the 2002 MTV Movie Awards, which will air June

Ted Casablanca reports from the Vanity Fair post Oscar bash: "Orlando Bloom
might as well have been cooing: "Happy Birthday, Ms. Smart," as he whispered
in Amy's ear, causing the pretty blonde to become so flustered she had
to flee with her girlfriend. Hey, Orlando, stop that! Don't you know the
effect you're having on the residents of this town (not to mention the
planet), these days? Down, you randy boy."

reports Orlando Bloom has hooked up two movie roles: "The Kelly Gang" with

Billy Boyd, Dominic Monaghan and Orlando Bloom were snubbed from Sunday's
Oscars because of the limited seating at the Kodak Theater. The actors
were flown into Los Angeles to join their co-stars at the ceremony, but
were denied entry. Bloom said, "I'm going out to get drunk anyway." Monaghan
added, "We have plenty of options for a night out. But the Oscars isn't
one of them."
