August 28, 2003 - Globe magazine reports Orlando Bloom learned the truth that his real father wasn't Harry Bloom, but a family friend named Colin Stone, who had been his mother's secret lover for years. "It's an unusual story," Orlando said. "But then, you show me a family and I'll show you an unusual story." His mother Sonia explained, "It was marvelous when he learned that Colin was his father. He was brought up surrounded by a loving family. Orlando has a very happy background. He is not sad."

August 13, 2003 - Orlando Bloom tells The Sun he has lost a stone (14 lbs) and gained a six-pack after hours in the gym for the secret role. He said, "If a nude scene is required then sure I'd do it.
