April 21, 2004 - At last Wednesday's New York screening of 'The Punisher,' recently separated Rebecca Romijn Stamos endured shocking and intimidating words from a member of the paparazzi who was attempting to get the star to pose for pictures. Paula Froelich of The New York Post's Page Six tells 'Entertainment Tonight' the photographer went too far and his actions may end up changing the red carpet for good. "At 'The Punisher,' the paparazzi basically went nuts," she says. "They formed this wild, almost rabid pack and went after Rebecca Romijn-Stamos like she was a piece of meat."

April 21, 2004 - Steve Sands, notorious for hounding stars, had a lukewarm apology for Rebecca Romijn. "I probably got a little carried away and I apologize for that," he said. "But I really have to ask the question, why would she come to a premiere and walk by the photographers who came to support her?" Rebecca says she didn't pose because she was distraught about her recent breakup with husband John Stamos.

April 19, 2004 - Spys tell The New York Post John Stamos has flown with several buddies to whoop it up at Disney World in Orlando while Rebecca Romijn is spending quality time with "very good friend" John Cusack after their split. "Let's put it this way," said a pal of the couple, "Neither one seems all that unhappy about the breakup." A rep for Romijn-Stamos said she wasn't dating anyone, even though she mentioned having a "special someone" on Conan O'Brien's show. Cusack's rep declined comment.

April 19, 2004 - Rebecca Romijn-Stamos announced -- actually, it was closer to groveling -- on 'The Tonight Show With Jay Leno' this week that she wants to choreograph Bellagio's dancing fountains. "My friend and I have been making these CDs. We've become obsessed with songs that build, like crescendo. Songs that lift you," she said. The problem is, no one's taking her seriously, she said. "First of all, what can be better than listening to your very favorite songs with dancing fountains? I mean, we're gonna wear diapers if we see it happen!"

April 14, 2004 - Us Weekly Senior Editor Caroline Schaefer, tells 'Extra' that John Stamos -- who's 40 -- felt his clock ticking, but Rebecca Romijn didn't, leading to their breakup: "John has been very vocal about the fact he wants kids. Rebecca's just not ready," Schaefer reports. "She's 31, and her career -- her film career is on the rise and she's not ready to settle down and have kids yet." April 12, 2004 - Star magazine reports John Stamos and Rebecca Romijn have separated according to their spokesman, who wouldn't comment any further. Stamos, 40, and Romijn, 31, met in 1994 at a Victoria's Secret fashion show in New York City. The couple went on their first date to Disneyland, a favorite spot of Stamos'. Four years later on September 19, 1998 the couple wed. A source close to the couple says the separation "is as amicable as can be and there's no third party." One source said that Stamos wanted to start a family while Romijn did not.

April 12, 2004 - Globe magazine spoke with Suite 16 Club doorman Wass Stevens who revealed he introduced John Stamos to Rebecca Romijn after Stamos let him kow he was interested in meeting the supermodel/actress. "I knew her roommate, so I set up a birthday party for her. John flew in for the party, they met and two weeks later they were going out."

April 12, 2004 - John Stamos and Rebecca Romijn-Stamos confirms to The New York Daily News that they're separating after five years of marriage. "It's very amicable," says spokesman Lewis Kay. "There's no third party. There's no real reason except they've decided to go in separate directions." A friend added, "This split couldn't come at a worse time. But what can you do?"
