December 31, 2001 - Rumors running around Ricky Martin and Luis Miguel message boards are rampant as a Latin press report had the two recording a song together to be presented at a New Years Eve party in the United States. December 31, 2001 - Walter Scott of Parade magazine was asked where Ricky Martin has been lately and he responded, "On his first vacation in 10 years. After a world tour to promote his CD 'Sound Loaded', Martin kicked back with friends at his South Florida home and spent time with his family in Puerto Rico." Scott adds that Ricky will start on a new CD in January.

December 14, 2001 - The New York Post reports a messenger was dispatched to a deli when 60 Thompson hotel guest Ricky Martin wanted a fried baloney sandwich at 3 a.m. 

December 12, 2001 - Star reports Ricky Martin has become the godfather of 8-month-old Katerina Anastasia, daughter of Diana Faget, a pal since his days in the boy band Menudo. An insider revealed, "He never stopped smiling throughout the baptism, and it was obvious that he was very, very happy for Diana and clearly crazy about Katerina." Read more.

December 8, 2001 - There's news from the official message board of Ricky Martin from a fan who contacted Ricky's spokesperson who revealed Ricky Martin's new CD will be released between March and April of 2002 and that a tour would begin in the summer. 

November 13, 2001 - The New York Daily News reports that because the National Enquirer has a reported $10,000 bounty for photographs of Ricky Martin taken during his health club fitness routine, the singer has hired a security guard to keep the paparazzi away.
