28, 2002 - Marc Anthony is taking part in a television commercial for the
popular "I Love New York" advertising campaign in which he gets mistaken
for another Latin pop sensation. During the 60-second commercial, a fan
on the street says, "I know you. Ricky Martin, Ricky Martin, that's you!"
Gov. George Pataki said, "He's a great star and not only that, it's just
wonderful the way he's willing to allow people to poke a little fun at
him in the ad." Read more.
April 25, 2002 - Ricky Martin's
official message board member 'ItsMeTammy' posted a photo of Ricky Martin
kissing her during his visit to New York on Friday. Tammy says, "He was
an absolute darling! He looked really good," adding "And he was in good
spirits. He was very enthusiastic and charming." Check out her picture

Meanwhile, in a separate posting, Tammy says that Ricky revealed that his
new album will drop in September and that he'd be doing promotions around
then.

April 20, 2002 - The New
York Post reports students at Adlai Stevenson HS yesterday had to be held
back by cops when Ricky Martin arrived to be the school's teacher for a
day in the annual citywide event held by the nonprofit group PENCIL to
meld the private world with public schools. Martin signed autographs, visited
classrooms, and provided the day's announcements over the school's loudspeaker.

has photos of Ricky Martin at Adlai Stevenson High School earlier today
in New York City. Ricky is participating in the Principal for a Day program,
which focuses on the sharing of ideas between leaders in schools and the

Access Hollywood was also onhand with Ricky earlier today, and will show
highlights from his Principal duties on Monday's show.
April 20, 2002 - The New
York Post reports Ricky Martin is set to buy a pair of apartments in Manhattan
at the AOL Time Warner Center for around $11 million that have gorgeous
views of Central Park and the Hudson River. Ricky will reportedly combine
the two apartments to create a single 5 bedroom unit.
April 19, 2002 - Christina
Aguilera, Jennifer Lopez, Enrique Iglesias, Ricky Martin, Shakira, and
Myra are amongst the nominees in this year's American Latino Media Arts
(ALMA) Awards. The awards will be televised on June 1st from 8-10pm on

Dees Sleaze had brief mentions what's up with Ricky Martin. Dees says he's
been in seclusion in India where he is meditating and assessing his live
