December 27, 2002 - Ricky
Martin sent out the following message to those in his International Fan
Club: "Dear friends, First of all, I want to personally thank each and
everyone of you, from all over the world, for your enduring, unconditional
and loyal support, especially during the past 18 months, when I took some
much needed time off. I have always remembered you and still cherish the
many wonderful moments we have shared. I also started working on other
things and had the privilege of living some very emotional , intense personal
experiences in many countries, which I hope will be evident to some degree

19, 2002 - RMTEE reports Sony management officially announced the International
release date of March 31, 2003 for Ricky Martin's next album. The Spanish
language album will have the first single release on Feb. 28, with a song
written by Franco de Vita, 'Tal Vez.' Other collaborators on the album
include Juanes and Alejandro Sanz. The video for 'Tal Vez' is rumored to
start filming in January.
November 27, 2002 - Star
magazine reports Ricky Martin and four female friends spent an hour in
the makeup department of Barneys in Beverly Hills. Ricky bounced from counter
to counter with brushes in hand, experimenting with eyeshadow colors and
lipsticks with his pals.
November 21, 2002 - According
to Labotana.com, an Extra TV report says Ricky Martin hopes to invest in
new talent beginning in 2003. Ricky should start his own recording studio
in Miami in the middle of next year. Martin wants to launch his own record
label and is looking for new singers. Ricky is negotiating to purchase
a small recording company that belongs to a well known American rapper.
November 21, 2002 - Jay Leno
joked during his Tonight Show monologue on Tuesday, "Here's an odd story.
In Brazil, a frustrated musician broke into a radio station, forced the
DJ at gun point to play his album on the air. So that's what happened to
Ricky Martin."
November 15, 2002 - The Cheez
of HispanicOnline.com reports Ricky Martin was seen in Puerto Rico having
a very romantic dinner with his ex-girlfriend Rebecca de Alba. The pair
arrived in his private jet and were seen very close to each other. De Alba
was seen wearing a very shiny diamond bracelet, leading some to think it
may have been Ricky's birthday gift.
November 3, 2002 - Star magazine
reports acting legend James Caan was fuming during a visit to the swanky
Miami Beach sushi eatery Nobu recently when he was told to wait for a table
like anybody else. After Caan saw Ricky Martin and friends being ushered
right in, Caan asked the maitre d', "Who the hell is that?" He replied,
"That's Ricky Martin, sir." Caan continued, "And who's Ricky Martin?" The
maitre'd deadpanned, "Someone who can get a table right away." Caan asked,
"Do you know who I am?" The young employee shook his head no. Caan then
returned to his nearby vacation condo for a takeout meal.
November 2, 2002 - An old
photo of a shirtless Ricky Martin appearing at a spa in Miami as another
shirtless man has his arm around him is in the November issue of TV y Novelas.

November 1, 2002 - A blind
item in the New York Post today asks, "Which mucho handsome pop star -
who refuses to answer when asked about his predilections - has a not-so-new
boyfriend in the record business? The gay community in San Juan whispers
that it's been going on for a year and a half and some are impatient for
the hypocrisy to end."
