Washington Post spoke with Ricky Martin who is in town to meet with Labor
Secretary Elaine Chao and push his effort to combat trafficking in humans
through his People for the Children campaign. "I need to spend a week here,"
he said. "There's just so much to do. A lot of people think that human
trafficking is just crossing the border illegally, but it's about sexual
exploitation and forcing people to have slavelike jobs. This is sick --

26, 2003 - AFP reports Labor Secretary Elaine Chao is to meet with UNICEF
goodwill ambassador Ricky Martin on Thursday to discuss child labor in
Latin America and the Caribbean. The singer was named UNICEF goodwill ambassador

writes "Ricky Martin performed his latest hit singles 'Jaleo' and 'Juramento'
on the Miss Italia pageant on Monday (September 15. When asked by the host
what are his favorite things about Italy, Ricky answered, "The food, the

close to Ricky Martin spoke with Us Weekly about the singer's on-again
romance with Mexican television personality Rebecca de Alba. "When she's
in Miami, she stays with him," the source explained. "It looks like they're
back on!" The couple recently attended the Latin Grammy Awards together.
