23, 2004 - Despite the effort that went into Robi Draco Rosa's English-language
album, 'Mad Love', the man behind Ricky Martin's crossover success, co-writing
and co-producing such Martin hits as 'La Copa de la Vida', 'Livin' La Vida
Loca' and 'Maria', insists that he isn't out to match Martin's popularity.
"There's a lot of opportunity out there right now, and I feel this is the
album that I can share with the world," Rosa tells The New York Daily News.
"That's why we make music - to be on the radio, to make it to millions
of homes and bring that kind of crazy love to people. It's the ultimate
dream, but I'm just fine where I'm at. This [album] is just a product of
finally finding a place where I'm comfortable, because this is the only
thing I do every day - make music." Read more.

York Post reports that despite reports, Ricky Martin will not be replacing
Hugh Jackman in 'The Boy From Oz.' His rep noted: "Ricky wasn't asked nor
does he have the time to do this. He is working on his album."

recipient of Premio Lo Nuestro's 2004 "Premio a la Excelencia" (Excellence
Award). In addition to receiving the prestigious special award, Martin
will also thrill viewers with a spectacular performance during the LIVE
telecast of the "Premio Lo Nuestro a la Musica Latina" awards ceremony
on the Univision Network on Thursday, February 26, 8-11 pm ET/PT (7-10
pm Central/Mountain). Ricky is also nominated for awards in 4 categories,
including Album of the Year, Best Male Artist, Song of the Year - 'Tal
Vez', and Video of the Year - 'Jaleo'."

tell The New York Daily News producers of the hit Broadway show 'The Boy
From Oz' are scouting Ricky Martin as a possible replacement for the current
star, Hugh Jackman, who is slated for a 12-month run in the show, which
expires in mid-September.
January 19, 2004 - Latin
music's hottest recording artists make up the list of nominees for the
2004 edition of 'Premio Lo Nuestro a la Musica Latina', the oldest and
most popular Latin music award program in the U.S. A total of 180 nominations
in 32 categories were announced today. Winners will be revealed during
a sensational 3-hour special that will be telecast LIVE on Univision Network
on Thursday, February 26 from 8-11 pm ET/PT. This year's list of nominees,
selected from charts compiled by the prominent industry publication Radio
& Records(R), includes such internationally famous superstars as Ricky
Martin, Juanes, Thalia, Shakira, David Bisbal, Mana, Olga Tanon, Marc Anthony,
Pepe Aguilar, and Vicente Fernandez. Winners of the coveted award will
