August 22, 2000 - Star Magazine reports Ricky is being written into the Sex and the City script this season as Sarah Jessica Parker's love interest after Ricky told them he's a big fan of the show and wanted to be in the series. 

August 22, 2000 - Ricky Martin's next video on his yet to be released new album, "She Bang," was shot almost entirely underwater last week at the Atlantis resort on Paradise Island in the Bahamas. Ricky's album is out next month.

August 12, 2000 - More autographed Ricky on eBay. This picture, an autographed 8x10 (item #413515880) currently is unbid at only $9.99 and closes August 21st.

August 12, 2000 - Carlos Santana commenting recently on his willingness to perform: "I'd like to do something with Emilio Estefan and his wife Gloria, Ricky Martin, Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony -- and do something that would bring more attention to the Latin community."

August 12, 2000 - More autographed Ricky on eBay. This picture, an autographed 8x10 (item #405392833) currently is unbid at only $1.00 (reserve) and closes August 16th.

August 10, 2000 - Ricky Martin is pissed about the Republicans playing Livin' La Vida Loca at the Republican National Convention last week. Specifically, he says "It is perverse that the Republicans are trying to forge a connection to the Latin community with the use of my song and by parading famous Latinos on stage. Seventy-five percent of the delegates to the Republican convention earn more than $1 million a year -- I don't see the connection at all."

August 9, 2000 - News of the World reports Ricky Martin has a stalker that has threatened to follow Ricky all over the world. Ricky says of the situation "I’m scared. I get worried at night. I don’t know why people do these things. All I want to do is perform — and I get harassed by these people."

August 5, 2000 - George P. Bush is being called by his uncle, the presidential nominee,  "the hot member of the family." Former President Bush, his grandfather, favors comparisons to Ricky Martin.
