December 29, 2000 - Interesting comments from Ricky Martin from an Entertaindom.com article where he's quoted as saying, "With intelligence you can get money, and with money you can get looks. So intelligence is the key." 

December 27, 2000 - A psychic named Morris Fonte was on TRL today talking about predictions for the new year. He says that Ricky Martin will continue to live in Florida and will marry a woman with a name that starts with 'M'.

December 24, 2000 - The portion of the My VH1 Music Awards where ficticious "Ricky Martin's ass" accepted an award Best Booty Shake award on his behalf was removed from further rebroadcasts of the show. The New York Post reports Ricky was upset over the skit and complained, but a VH1 rep says that portion was removed because the show went too long and needed to be shortened up.

December 22, 2000 - Popbitch.com reports Ricky Martin alledgedly uses panty-liners under his armpits to keep sweat stains from showing.

December 20, 2000 - Ricky Martin has signed on with the United Talent Agency for representation in film and television according to Variety.

December 19, 2000 - The New York Post reports Ricky Martin came to the Hugo Boss Christmas Party over the weekend with male model pal Cameron Aborzian but was shocked to see a room filled with thong-clad, oiled-up men dancing to 70s music and quickly the two walked out.

December 12, 2000 - Ricky Martin's adventures in sky diving have his management worried sick he'll harm himself, so they've enlisted his family to talk him out of further aerial adventures.

December 11, 2000 - Rav Singh of New of the World reports Kenny Goss, boyfriend of George Michael, as admitted to being 'close friends' with Ricky Martin. Adds ex Spice Girl Geri Halliwell, "They used to be friends a very long time ago. I think Ricky wouldn’t want it coming out." Rav also quotes Ricky as recently saying, "Look, I am not gay... If people choose to believe I’m gay I have no problem with that."

December 10, 2000 - Ricky Martin will be the musical guest Tuesday on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. The other guests include greg Kinnear and M. Night Shyamalan.

December 10, 2000 - New York's WKTU has floated the rumor that Micheal Jackson will perform for the first time in five years at the December 19th Miracle on 34th Street concert at Madison Square Garden, which is already set to feature Destiny's Child, Ricky Martin, Toni Braxton, Marc Anthony, Sisqo and Christina Aguilera.

December 10, 2000 - An interesting abstract painting is being auctioned on ebay which is entitled Inside Ricky Martin's Brain (Vida Loca). The painting is done by the New York artist Easton. The reserve auction, item 521083953, is currently has the painting bid at $5.50 and ends December 14th.

December 9, 2000 - Christina Aguilera hosted TRL Friday and #3 on her list of Top 10 of 2000 for her was her duet with Ricky Martin.

December 8, 2000 - More details on the Ricky Martin / Christina Aguilera duet as Christina postponed a Lycos chat earlier this week telling fans, "Please forgive me for not being available this evening. An incredible music and career opportunity has come up for me to record a duet with Ricky Martin. Because our schedules are so crazy this was the only opportunity that we both had to get together. We are in the studio and the session is running late." The chat has been rescheduled for Tuesday, December 12 at 9PM EST. Allstar is reporting the duet will probably be Nobody Wants To Be Lonely off of Ricky's Sound Loaded album.

December 7, 2000 - CDNOW's AllStar reports Christina Aguilera and Ricky Martin have recently talked about doing a love-song duet together according to those close to the two.

December 6, 2000 - MTVasia.com reports Ricky Martin is claiming to be is turned on by "intelligent" women, and turned off by those who have hairy legs.

December 5, 2000 - Entertaindom.com reports more comments regarding Ricky's sexual preference, this time from Wieder, editor-in-chief of The Advocate, a gay magazine, who says Martin has made a turning point because "He's responding without squelching the rumors or immediately running around with a woman -- and it doesn't seem to have impacted his sales at all."

December 4, 2000 - Despite the revival of longer bangs on men, Entertainment Weekly interviews That 70s Show hairstylist Gabriella Pollino who cautions of Martin, "He has a really full face. You've got to have chiseled bone structure to carry off bangs."

December 3, 2000 - Ricky Martin is commenting to the BBC on his image saying, "Surrounding me, there is a lot of people that I trust that know about wardrobe and fashion, and people that know about music, and people that know about many things in show business. At the end of the day, I'm the one that's in front of the cameras telling people what my music is about. If I'm not comfortable, you know what? Then [I'll] just quit and go home and do something else. So in order for that to happen, I just need to be in control."

December 2, 2000 - Ricky Martin commenting on World AIDS day, "People that I know have been victims of this stupid disease and virus. I think I have the need to talk pretty raw about this issue."

December 2, 2000 - Ricky Martin has been nominated for the Male Musical Performer category in the 27th Annual People's Choice Award which will be held January 7, 2001, at 9 p.m. on CBS.
