November 28, 2000 - People has more quotes from Ricky Martin addressing the 'is he gay?' question, saying "I can't get hung up on people whose lives are that empty. I'm an artist and you can fantasise about me however you want."

November 28, 2000 - The Sun reports that Ricky Martin set a record during his TFI Friday TV appearance last week when he showed up with an entourage of 51 people. Prince had held the the previous record with 36.

November 28, 2000 - The Star reports Ricky Martin is having laser treatments to remove his chest hair. Seems Ricky has been getting hairy with age and thinks he'd look younger with a smooth look.

November 25, 2000 - Seems our early report of Ricky Martin being #1 on the charts was premature, as he actually came in at #4, with The Beatles, That's What I Call Music Vol. 5, and Sade ending up in front of him. Ricky sold 317,722 copies of Sound Loaded.

November 23, 2000 - Early returns show Ricky Martin sold 400,000 copies of his new album Sound Loaded, according to Worldpop, though they note that he's only #16 on the UK Charts which has prompted Ricky to make a special visit to the UK to promote the album where he'll be appearing on ITV.

November 22, 2000 - We get word that Ricky Martin's new CD is already No. 1 in the U.K., Italy, Argentina, Chile and Japan... Though still no data from it's first week out in the US.

November 22, 2000 - Ricky Martin is commenting to the BBC about the meaning of "She Bangs", saying, "Naughty, you think? Why not? 'She Bangs'--it's reality. That's what it's all about. It's a bit sexual? Well, it's time to talk about sexuality in a very natural way--why not do it with music? It's something that should be done more often in every house."

November 21, 2000 - The New York Posts Micheal Lewittes joked when asked what Livin' La Vida Loca in an online chat meant, replying "It means Ricky Martin is very, very rich."

November 20, 2000 - Rav Singh reports Ricky Martin is planning to sky-dive to promote his new album, Sound Loaded. Rav takes a shot at Ricky in saying, "I reckon he’s getting in practice for when sales plummet."

November 19, 2000 - Ricky Martin is featured extensively in this week's Entertainment Weekly in which he graces the cover. They profile his immensely busy schedule promoting his album and while they try to probe his sexuality, Ricky wouldn't divulge anything, though saying "So I have many answers for this. One of them is, 'You know what? Get a life! Stop living mine.' The other answer can be, 'I'm an artist, and you can fantasize about me however you want to. I am powerless over your thoughts. Go for it! And enjoy the ride! There's nothing else to say about it."

November 19, 2000 - Ricky Martin performanced at the Today Show at Rockefeller Plaza in New York, November 14. Ricky was on the MTV show to promote Sound Loaded.

November 19, 2000 - The Sun reports Ricky Martin "had an unsightly case of 5 O'clock shadow on his normally ever-so smooth body" at the MTV Europe music awards.

November 19, 2000 - Ricky Martin is performed She Bangs and accepting an award for best male act  at the MTV Europe music awards November 16, 2000 in Stockholm, Sweden.

November 18, 2000 - The New York Daily News reports that Julio Iglesias is planning to marry on December 19th in Miami to Miranda Rijnsburger. Julio has invited Ricky Martin, but no word on whether Enrique will be at his father's wedding.

November 18, 2000 - Ricky Martin on dangerous women, "These women that drive me crazy ... drive me crazy because I can be having dinner in a fancy restaurant and all of a sudden she stands up in the middle of the table and she starts dancing. Who doesn't like that?"

November 16, 2000 - The New York Daily News reports Ricky Martin has further addressed issues of his sexuality saying, "The homosexual community wants me to be gay. The heterosexual community wants me to be straight. They pull and push and pull and push. I don't think it's necessary to either say I'm gay or I'm straight. I'm an artist, and you can take my poster and fantasize about me however you want."

November 16, 2000 - Entertaindom.com reports Ricky Martin has been skydiving and surfing in preparation for Sound Loaded's debut in Asia and Australia. He's quoted saying, "We were there for six weeks and we tried it all -- we tried surfing in Australia and skydiving in New Zealand, and it was just fascinating. You always want a little more. But after skydiving, where are you going to go next? So my master told me, 'Next time you are going to jump out of a hot air balloon.' You keep finding things to do, and it's fascinating. I'm a control freak and I felt a lot of humility when I was doing it."

November 15, 2000 - Foxnews.com's Roger Friedman is again making sniping remarks at Ricky, saying that a smaller-than-expected crowd showed up for his appearance saying that Ricky's popularity may have already peaked.

November 15, 2000 - The Star reports that Ricky Martin's meeting with Michael Jackson last week included an offer by Jackson to record a duet, with Jackson's friend Elizabeth Taylor strongly urging Ricky to consider. Ricky has agreed to think it over.

November 14, 2000 - Ricky Martin stopped into TRL today to talk about his album out tomorrow. Carson told everyone that Ricky is the friendliest of all the celebrities that have been on TRL after the cameras have been turned off. Ricky performed She Bangs live for the crowd.

November 12, 2000 - Ricky Martin performed two songs off the new album Sound Loaded on Saturday Night Live, including She Bangs and Saint Tropez. Before his second song, Chris Kattan impersonated the singer which we have a few stills of, including the closing with host Calista Flockhart.

November 10, 2000 - TRL had an election vote Wednesday and the winner for best moves was Britney Spears, followed by Ricky Martin and Justin Timberlake.

November 9, 2000 - The New York Post reports Ricky Martin will play Irving Plaza, near Union Square in New York for a private show for radio contest winners and fan club members.

November 6, 2000 - Ricky Martin won the Radio Music Award Saturday night for Most Requested Artist. Ricky also presented Artist of the Year-Pop Alternative Radio to the Goo Goo Dolls, where he shamelessly plugged his upcoming album. When Sisqo won Most Requested Part Song, he thanked Ricky Martin for Livin' La Vida Loca.

November 5, 2000 - Ricky Martin will perform at Z100's seventh annual Jingle Ball 2000 to be held December 14th at Madison Square Garden in New York. A portion of the proceeds from the event will go to the Ronald McDonald House and PAX charities.

November 5, 2000 - Ricky Martin was at the Carousel of Hope Ball benefiting childhood diabetes research hugging Michael Jackson after his performance, in addition to a performance shot just prior. The event was held October 28th in Beverly Hills.

November 5, 2000 - Foxnews.com's Roger Friedman today reported on the strange happenings at MTV's TRL, which surprisingly has Ricky Martin's video She Bangs in the top 3 consistently despite it's lack of success on Billboard or of getting radio play... Which makes me wonder, did Sony buck up big bucks to get Ricky's vid up there like undoubtably Hanson's backers did?

November 2, 2000 - There's a post on our Ricky message boards which indicates a potential bombshell that may have been behind his no-show at the Australian ARIA awards involving innappropriate behavior with a underaged girl backstage.
