September 30, 2000 - Thanks Allie. Ricky Martin is rumored to be a guest presenter on the Australian ARIA awards in Australia on October 24th. He'll be touring the country during that time but doesn't have a performance scheduled on the 24th.

September 30, 2000 - Apparently Ricky's new album will be entitled Sound Loaded, which is set to release November 14th, MTV reports.

September 30, 2000 - Ricky has another autographed picture on eBay up for bids. The 8x10 photo (item #452667973) features a long haired Ricky and is currently bid at $24.95, ending October 5th.

September 26, 2000 - Ricky Martin doesn't care... The repeated theme of his latest comments, as he says, "When I'm onstage, that is the first thing I tell the audience: 'Ladies and gentlemen, this is the I-don't-care.' You need the I-don't-care attitude when you're onstage for the show. There are a lot of taboos nowadays with sexuality in our society and I think it's ridiculous," he says. "I think it's time for us to stop saying 'Aah' about something so normal.... It's sex. Yes, sex, sex. Who cares? Sex. I don't care." And of this message reaching young kids? "Right now, the young generation is sexually active. We have to talk about this, and we have to be raw, and we have to teach our parents that it's time to talk about what's happening out there with the kids in this society."

September 25, 2000 - Additional appearances Ricky will be making ahead of his yet to be titled album include SNL on November 11th, David Letterman on November 15th, and The Rosie O'Donnell Show on November 21st.

September 25, 2000 - Ricky Martin debuted his She Bangs video tonight on MTV. The underwater effects were amazing and the song was great too. There still is a question mark though as to whether his mega success will follow through in this album.

September 23, 2000 - The Sun reports Ricky Martin is acting strange in one of London's finest hotels by insisting his own cook be flown in from America. An insider reveals, "He went on a hunger strike until his own chef arrived. It's a grave insult to the Sanderson and to Laurence"

September 22, 2000 - Good Morning America will be airing a special taped interview with Ricky Martin on Tuesday, September 26th. A thirsty.com reporter who attended the taping reveals, "Ricky previewed his new video, "She Bangs" which is totally hot-half the video was shot underwater! And let me tell you, you thought those leather pants were hot, he looks amazing in jeans."

September 17, 2000 - Ricky Martin is removing the lyrics "she blew me off" in the U.K. version of his new single She Bangs, according to the U.K. Sun. Seems exec's at Sony were worried British listeners would interpret the line the wrong way!

September 16, 2000 - Ricky Martin was quick to exit the Latin Grammys, reports the New York Post, saying he never joined the audience after his appearance.

September 13, 2000 - Ricky Martin performed tonight at the Latin Grammys, the first annual event held in Los Angeles.

September 12, 2000 - Ricky Martin will perform before dozens of A-List celebs at Marvin Davis annual star fest "Carousel of Hope," which benefits juvenile diabetes.

September 12, 2000 - Moby is out talking about musicians like Ricky Martin and the two types of pop musicians, saying "If you're talking about the sort of Pablum that's geared toward 12-year-olds, I can't stand it. I maintain that there's two traditions of musicians in pop music. One is people like Ricky Martin, for example. He's tall and good-looking and knows how to dance. On the other hand, you might have someone like Beck or Neil Young. Basically, someone like Ricky Martin was probably popular in high school. And then you have folks like me and Beck, who were losers in high school. [But] when we couldn't get a date, we just spent our time learning how to write and play music."

September 11, 2000 - Carson Daly tells FHM that he lived in the old home of Ricky Martin before he made it big at MTV. He said "he hadn't made it big yet, but we still used to get his mail from all over the world-like 175 letters a day. I thought it was funny, so I used to read them on the air at KROQ."

September 8, 2000 - Ricky Martin tonight on Access Hollywood talked about Britney saying "She's a strong woman and if she's surrounded by the right people she'll have no problems." Ricky also denied rumors he's going to be in Dirty Dancing 2, saying he heard about it just like everyone else, in the media.

September 7, 2000 - Although not winning anything tonight (Shake Your Bon Bon lost out to Eminem for Best Male Video), Ricky Martin was on hand at the MTV VMA's.

September 2, 2000 - Ricky Martin is nominated for Most Fashionable Artist - Male in The 6th Annual 2000 "VH1/Vogue Fashion Awards"  Presented live from the Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Friday, October 20 at 9:00-11:00 p.m.

September 2, 2000 - USA Today spoke with David Adelson, music correspondent/producer for the E! channel about the hugely anticipated albums from Ricky Martin and BSB as to which will be a bigger seller, he said "The consensus in the industry is that Backstreet will sell more initially, but that would in no way detract from Ricky's sales performance, which will be huge."
