The pair were recently at a Los Angeles Lakers basketball game where Salma was spotted sporting a sparkling diamond engagement ring. A source said, "Everything's still real hush-hush. During the game, Salma was trying to keep her left hand hidden, but every now and then, she let it slip out of her pocket. She could not help but show it off."

April 1, 2002 - The New York Daily News reports Miramax chief Harvey Weinstein and 'Frida' director Julie Taymor got into a heated argument at a recent screening of the film at Sony Lincoln Square. A source says Weinstein was objecting to certain things in the film and wanted changes. Now, Taymor is said to have taken Weinstein's notes and has gone back to the editing room and snipped the offending bits right out. The film opens in October and those at the preview show gave it high marks.

March 10, 2002 - US Weekly reports that Death to Smoochy director Danny DeVito says Salma Hayek "came by the set a lot" to visit her boyfriend Edward Norton. DeVito added, "They're in love." The two were at the film's special screening at the eigth annual U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Colorado.
