Hayek has told Parade magazine how she was kidnapped at gunpoint and held
for ransom – and loved it. She was grabbed in 1983 in her native Mexico
with the real target, her wealthy college boyfriend. She says: "They put
a gun to my head and I said, 'Kill me. I believe in reincarnation, I’ll
just come back'. I got into the drama of the thing. It was like being in
a movie." Both were freed unharmed.

New York Daily News reports Salma Hayek just said "no" to a new fur when
designer Dennis Basso boldly approached her at the event. "I have eight
or nine fur coats hanging in my closet," she said. "But I don't wear them
because my boyfriend hates them!"
