"It's more important just to have someone by your side," the "Frida" star told German In Style. "That doesn't always have to be a lover - for some people a dog is enough. It's sometimes more simple that way than with a lover." Hayek also brushed off talk of marriage with Norton. "We discovered that we don't necessarily need a marriage certificate to prove our love."

March 5, 2003 - The Enquirer reports Salma Hayek and boyfriend Ed Norton recently visited LA Japanese restaurant Koi after midnight, but were told the kitchen was closed. They pleaded to see if any chefs would cook them something, and after giving one at the bar two $100 bills as incentive, he returned to the sushi bar and fixed something up for the two stars.
