Online's Ted Casablanca reports that Salma and a guy other than Ed were catching Hollow Man at the Hollywood Galaxy 6  She was sporting a black leather jacket with a pink top that Ted says gave "a very impressive view of her natural gifts" when she leaned over to ask a couple to move down a seat.

August 16, 2000 - If you think Salma Hayek and Jennifer Lopez have an icy relationship now, word now comes from Variety that Jennifer has been approached by United Artists to play the Mexican painter Frida Kahlo in another movie about her, this one besides the Miramax version of the same biopic.

August 1, 2000 - The New York Daily News reports Salma Hayek is raising eyebrows after accepting a role in the upcoming Showtime movie In the Time of the Butterflies. The film is backed by Viacom, which at one time controlled many Dominican properties during Rafael Leonidas Trujillo's bloody dictatorship, the focus of the film. The also bring up the fact that Hayek, who admittedly led a very spoiled childhood, is playing a sister who gave her live fighting Trujillo's dictatorship.
