October 29, 2000 - The lineup for Salma Hayek's role as Frida Kahlo has been set and is expected to begin filming in January. The film will be directed by Julie Taymor and will also star Ashley Judd, Antonio Banderas, and Salma's boyfriend we assume still, Edward Norton.

October 29, 2000 - Salma Hayek is featured in IGN.com's Babe Election 2000 campaign, which is basically a cheap publicity stunt, as Steven Horn, editorial manager of IGN.com admits, "None of the candidates meet the 35-year-old age limit. None have filled out the necessary petitions to get on the ballot. Most of them aren't even American. What does matter is that they are among the most beautiful, sexiest women in the world." October 21, 2000 - Salma Hayek was a presenter at the VH1/Vogue Fashion Awards in New York on Friday.

October 12, 2000 - In an Abstracts.net poll asking if Ed Norton is a worthy boyfriend for Salma Hayek, 76.4% of you said no, while only 23.6% said yes, with 403 total votes.

October 11, 2000 - During Ted Casablanca's online chat on E! Online, he was asked why Salma hates Jennifer Lopez so much. His response: "That bitch, Anderson Jones, tells me: Salma can't swallow the fact that when this Latin-explosion thing happened, people used Jen, an American from New York, as an example instead of Salma, a real live Mexican. It burns her up! Call it a spitfire showdown."

October 11, 2000 - E! Online's Ted Casablanca was questioned this week about whether Salma's hooked up with Ed or an Arabian sheik and replied, "It's either glory or bucks with that babe (and I don't mean the latter in every sense of the word)."

October 8, 2000 - Salma appears in this week's Star in a bikini... without Ed Norton. But the New York Post reports today that Ed was aware of her girlfriends trip with Saudi billionaire Al Sheik Modhassan on his $100 million yacht, so likely there is no trouble in the two's relationship.
