December 30, 2000 - CosmoGirl's February 2001 issue names Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. as a Sweet Couple of 2000... Maybe they haven't heard about the breakup?

December 27, 2000 - E! Online's Ted Casablanca says he's heard that since Sarah and Freddie have broken up, she's instructed her people to get her out of Scooby-Doo. Ted adds, "I think S.M.G. sent signs long ago that she's in control of this relationship. And I think she'll continue to do so for the duration."

December 22, 2000 - Sarah Michelle Gellar was nominated in the category of best performance by an actress in a television series (Buffy) for this year's Golden Globe Awards which will take place January 21st.

December 11, 2000 - Rav Singh of New of the World reports rumors are flying that Sarah Michelle Gellar plans on quitting Buffy The Vampire Slayer.

December 5, 2000 - Sarah Michelle Gellar has been named the CosmoGirl of the Year for her role in Buffy and community work, namely Habitat For Humanity. 

December 4, 2000 - The Star is running an exclusive report with Sarah Michelle Gellar's estranged father Arthur Gellar. Arthur is begging to reconcile with the daughter he hasn't seen nor talked to in 10 years. While Sarah has said him, "My father doesn't exist in my life. We didn't get along. When he left it was much better." Arthur disputes these claims saying Sarah's mother Rosellen became very vindictive during their divorce and said that Sarah once told him, "Mom bad-mouths you all the time." After the two moved to New York, Rosellen abruptly changed her telephone to an unlisted number and her distraught father has been able to contact her since. While Sarah has said Arthur abandoned the family, he strongly denies it saying, "It hurst me when Sarah tells interviewers that I walked out on her and Rosellen. That's a lie-I never abandoned them. Rosellen was the one who filed for divorce. She wanted to end our marriage." Arthur Gellar's 84 year old mother and grandmother of Sarah, Beatrice Gellar also hasn't spoken to her grandaughter recently and he's worried Sarah won't contact ailing Beatrice until it's too late.
