of the Canadian Press spoke with Avril Lavigne who recalled her experience
of singing as a child with Shania Twain at a concert in Ottawa. Lavigne
had won a radio contest by submitting a track of her singing along with
Shania on tape only to do so in real life a few weeks later. "It
was the biggest rush of my life," she admits. "I walked out on stage and
I was the happiest person in the world."
May 10, 2002 - British soap
star Jennifer James has been transformed into country singer Shania Twain
for a Stars in Their Eyes TV special. She said: "It wasn't a difficult
decision deciding on who to be because her song is the only one I can sing."

reports Shania Twain's Come On Over has just topped the 14 million mark,
making the album the biggest-selling disc in the U.S. since SoundScan began
reporting retail sales in May of 1991.
