November 28, 2002 - It seems Canadians really did miss Shania Twain. Twain's long-awaited return, "Up!," shot to the top of the Canadian album charts, selling 150,000 copies in its first week.

November 28, 2002 - Hits Daily Double reports minds are boggling over the huge rack sales for Shania Twain's 'UP!', as Wal- Mart, Target and Kmart account for almost 700k of her 862k first-week sales. They say based on one-day's, she'll be in a dogfight with Tim McGraw to continue her run atop the charts.

November 20, 2002 - Shania Twain took part in an interview with Macleans.ca and was asked why she moved from the U.S. to Switzerland. "Privacy, for the most part. I really can live a normal life here," she said. "I come home off the road and I'm just another person on the street. That's invaluable when you're somebody who has a high profile pretty much everywhere else. I do my own groceries, I take Eja to the park. I just go everywhere and nobody blinks an eye. They take a lot of pride in their discretion here. And a lot of celebrities live here for that reason."

"I was very clear about the fact that I'm just now gone," she said. "I think it's a mix of everything. I'm really happy with it. I think it's the best album I've written so far and there's a lot of music on the album, there's a lot of music for everybody and I think it's for all the different audiences that I've sort of been lucky enough to pick up along the way which is really great. November 8, 2002 - Launch.com reports Shania Twain told reporters after her 'I'm Gonna Getcha Good!' performance at the CMA's how she felt about her return. "It didn't have the sort of scary impact that I thought it would because I actually started promotion in Europe a couple of months ago, so I've been able to do quite a bit of TV before coming here," she said. "But being back here is special. It was really, really great."

Sometimes it can be really hard," Twain said. "I was lucky. It didn't happen to me until I was an adult. I was in my twenties when I got my first record deal and almost 30 when things went really wild. I knew right from the start that I didn't want to be part of the circus that goes with this business. It's different for kids like Britney."
