March 28, 2003 - George Jones acknowledges Shania Twain is Canadian and points out that he means no disrespect, but he can't help but blame her for the genre's demise. "They still call it country music and that makes me madder than anything. Because to me they are using country music as a stepping stone," he told the Calgary Sun. "Shania Twain, and people like that, they don't care any more about country music than Joe Blow from Kokomo." Read more.
