says. "She was always covering up — she was so bashful. I helped get her
the job; it's the story of my life. Mary Bailey (a singer from Kirkland
Lake) comes backstage: 'Could you get her a job?' I thought she was talented
and we needed a lead girl singer. I said hire her. It was right after Eileen's
parents were killed and she needed a job. Mary got Shania the deal and
took her to Nashville. Then she moved on to Mutt Lang."

May 19, 2003 - Shania Twain's
latest album, Up!, was easier for the superstar to record than her previous
efforts because she said she felt no pressure. She tells Launch.com, "There
was much more stress on me the last time because I had my first diamond
album with The Woman In Me, and then the next album was kind of the test.
You know, 'Is she gonna be able to do this again? and if she doesn't do
it again, she'll probably go away like everybody else.' So when the next
album did triple that, I really did feel as if I achieved something that
even I may never achieve again."
