October 29, 2000 - Shania Twain is featured in IGN.com's Babe Election 2000 campaign, which is basically a cheap publicity stunt, as Steven Horn, editorial manager of IGN.com admits, "None of the candidates meet the 35-year-old age limit. None have filled out the necessary petitions to get on the ballot. Most of them aren't even American. What does matter is that they are among the most beautiful, sexiest women in the world." October 6, 2000 - Well Shania didn't take home any awards, but she did get to present the Entertainer of the Year award to The Dixie Chicks at the Country Music Awards in Nashville Wednesday..

October 6, 2000 - Shania commented to Launch.com about what it's like to not be touring this half of the year, saying "I like having a balance, and for the last seven years of my life--well, for almost my entire life--I've been on stage doing this, so this last six months is the first six months I've ever not sang, performed, and really been out in public."
