March 26, 2000 - eBay has
a hand painted watercolor picture of Shania up for bid. The 21 1/2 by 14
1/2 inch painting was done by European Artist Mirela and has an opening
bid of $99 (item #302060490) and ends April 15. We think it would be a
beautiful piece of art for any Shania fan, especially at this price.

26, 2000 - eBay has an autographed picture of Shania up for bid at a whopping
opening price of $60. The 8x10 photo features Shania's illegible scribe
and the auction closes March 27 and as expected nobody is bidding at this
price.

reports that Shania's Come On Over has now sold over 26 million copies
and is the 5th highest selling album of all time, and the highest by a
female artist.
March 13, 2000 - Well finally
we have something to talk about besides the cult story. Shania got two
Juno Awards last Saturday and Sunday (Canada's equivalent to the Grammys),
winning in the Best Songwriting and Best Country Female Artist categories.

on the Shania cult story, apparently another part of this group is that
members are strongly encouraged to give 10% of their wealth to the group,
and Shania's family is worried that she may get brainwashed into giving
much of her fortune to the group. Shania is living in Switzerland with
her husband, according to the Megastar story today as well.

has been nominated for Entertainer of the Year and Best Female Vocalist
in this year's Academy of Country Music awards which is held May 3rd in
Los Angeles and televised on CBS.
March 2, 2000 - In a bizarre
story, Megastar is reporting that Shania Twain has joined the Sant Mat
cult that bans booze, eating meat, or having sex, even with her husband.
Her brother Darryl is claiming "She's been turned into a robot." adding,
"Mutt calls the shots, and Shania follows." [hmm, but what about Paul Bolduc,
is this some sort of repentance?]

CEO Edgar Bronfman Jr. angrily denied rumors that his company is up for
sale. Seagram owns Polygram, which is Shania's record label.
February 10, 2000 - Lycos
has Shania Twain as the 7th most popular Grammy Nominated artist in terms
of search queries on its engine.
February 9, 2000 - 70s and
80s country music star Crystal Gayle responds to questioning if Shania
Twain's pop-country hits had pushed country music too pop for its own good
in a recent interview by saying "What's country? What's pop?".

Twain is nominated for Favorite CD and Favorite Female Artist in the Sixth
Annual Blockbuster Entertainment Awards to be aired in June on the FOX
Network.
