January 21, 2002 - In an abstracts.net poll asking 'Do you think Tupac was the most intelligent artist in the history of rap?', 95.6% of you said yes while only 4.4% said no, with 1094 total votes cast.

January 16, 2002 - Howard Stern was playing clips of double murderer O.J. Simpson talking about how he has respect for the terrorists and how Osama wouldn't be able to get a fair trial in the United States. Also noted that he has a respect for rapper 2pac Shakur and Eminem because Tupac's amazing poetry and Eminem's song 'Stan', which he can relate to. Howard thought that revelation was funny because the story is about a crazed Slim Shady fan who ends up killing his wife.

January 12, 2002 - Well the interview on Thursday night with Suge Knight and Carson Daly was fantastic... So good in fact, Carson is going to have Suge on again on Monday. Of the many things Suge touched on was his relationship with 2pac Shakur. Knight talked about the loss saying, "It's always the worst thing in the world to lose somebody that you care about, that you really care about. But if i could lose somebody i care about, I would rather be the person that talked to him, understand him, comfort him. Me and 'Pac relationship wasn't fake. It wasn't a relationship where a rapper comes, and say Tupac's name to get attention or to get applause. It was a situation where -- separate from the music, I would rather have 'Pac here not being involved in music or rapping than have him selling records after records after records, then him not being here."

January 7, 2002 - The news section of Death Row Records Official site reports a new double CD of Tupac Shakur is being worked on and that it is set for an early 2002 release, meaning we should get a release date pretty soon.

January 1, 2002 - Double murderer O.J. Simpson talked to reporters before a hip-hop concert he was to host, which was canceled early Monday after only 100 people showed up, where he revealed Tupac Shakur inspired him into being a rap music fan. Simpson said, "He was singing about having these crazy things happening around him, and I could relate to that." Read more.
