April 15, 2002 - Mark Brown of the Rocky Mountain News reviewed the Randall Sullivan book 'Labyrinth', which chronicles the murders of Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G. Calling it flawed, Brown wasn't totally negative on the book giving it a B- grade: "For all its failures, 'Labyrinth' is still a fascinating read. The personalities, the double-crossing, the East Coast/West Coast rap feud, the blatant police corruption and the utter lawlessness that engulfed the era is hardly dull. Death Row, in effect, ran its own mini-police force, made up of off-duty LAPD cops who were there for the beatings, the murders and the drugs.
They didn't just turn a blind eye to it -- instead, they got in on the action." Read more.

As for specifics, he said, "The DVD contains over 70 minutes of never before seen Pac footage that is not to be missed. Very personal footage including studio sessions as well as frestyles and plenty of interviews. Even footage of Biggie and Tupac before the fued." Read more.

February 24, 2002 - Chart Attack reports Tupac Shakur will be subject of a April 2 release of Thug Angel: The Life And Times Of Tupac Shakur, a DVD that will likely chronicle the life and times of Tupac Shakur. Much of the tape is unreleased footage of Tupac on a project Pac himself started before he was murdered. The April 2 release will also be following by another release in May that will not only include the DVD, but a CD that it will be a "tribute featuring friends and family." Read more.
