May 12, 2002 - Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban said the best barometer of the fans noisemakers' effectiveness would be if Sacramento Kings forward Chris Webber gets, "that I'm going to cry look on his face. Then you know the [noise] is doing its job. Either that or [girlfriend] Tyra [Banks] is walking out with Chris Tucker or somebody."

April 20, 2002 - The Globe reports Tyra Banks got a touch of karma recently when she rudely chatted up on her cell phone at a coffee shop in LA before going outside to see she had a flat tire. When she tried to call AAA, her phone had died because she'd used up the batteries. When she walked back into the coffee shop to call for help on a pay phone, a patron walked up to her to remind her that cell phones should only be used for emergencies, not for chatting while others are trying to dine at a restaurant. After Tyra's tire was fixed, she walked back in again, apologized for her rudeness, and bought everyone a free cup of coffee.

April 6, 2002 - KNTV has a brief video clip of Tyra Banks previewing the Victoria's Secret line ahead of Valentine's Day.

March 6, 2002 - Tyra Banks sounded like a lot would be happening with her in 2002 as she told Entertainment Tonight on Tuesday, "2002 is about to be bam. You guys are gonna be like, 'Tyra's doing what?'"
